The Organic Gardener recently won two prestigious awards at events held in Galway. The company won an award in the Best of Galway Awards in the home and garden section. Meanwhile Fergus Whitney, director of the business, won a Junior Chamber award for moral and environmental leadership.
The Organic Gardener is a consultancy business which helps clients who wants to grow food by assisting people to get over the difficult stages in growing organic vegetables, fruit, and herbs. The business was set up in June 2011 when Fergus Whitney noticed a niche in Galway for an organic gardener to go out to help people set up their own gardens.
Mr Whitney works with private gardens, crèches, primary schools, community gardens, and residents’ gardens. He also is moving into the area of roof gardens for hotels and restaurants. He has done quite a few urban gardens which demonstrate just how much you can grow in small spaces. He wants people to utilise space more efficiently, growing crops vertically up walls.
Fergus Whitney offers consultancy, talks, and workshops and sees you through the implementation of your organic garden.
