Over the last seven years, National Rural Award recipients were groups that have made a real impact on the quality of life of the rural communities in which they work. Irish Rural Link hopes that this award will go some way to acknowledge the efforts that these groups have made to enhance the lives of those living in their communities.
Categories:
- Voluntary Community Groups/Organisations with max 1 paid staff
- Community Groups/Organisations with 2 or more paid staff
The Nominees:
Any community or voluntary group that you feel has played a vital role in improving and developing local rural communities around the country. Groups should feel free to nominate themselves.
The Prize:
Awards will be presented at the Irish Rural Link AGM Conference in May 2013. Category award winners will receive a commemorative crystal.
The Judges:
The awards will be assessed by an independent panel of judges, looking in particular for the contribution that the group has made to their community. The Judges will also assess how well the group’s services are planned and delivered. Each group will be assessed on its own merits.
