Based between Dublin and Wexford , Colm studied Architecture in Bolton Street Dublin and Urban Design in the Far East. He has worked in various areas of design and project management over the past 13 years both in Ireland and internationally.
The design process involving detailed planning is a key element and hard landscaping is a key feature of any of his designs but with changing times planting is becoming ever important therefore the process is always evolving.
Colm runs a successful design and build landscaping consultancy called Doylescapes and has recently won a Silver medal 2008 and Gold medal 2009 at the Bloom Garden show in the Phoenix Park. Recent projects include both commercial and private gardens including gardens built in both France and Poland where a keen eye for quality & detail has been essential.
Colm uses his knowledge in projects from abroad and locally to ensure a smooth process for the customer from initial design brief meeting through to the garden build process, this ensures that the client enjoys the process rather than it being a chore or a worry.
Colm believes that the garden design process never ends as the gardens created are constantly changing and therefore a constant relationship with both his clients and past gardens completed are of high importance to him.
