Fun for All the Family at Tatton

There’s lots of family fun on offer at the RHS Flower Show Tatton this year. Little explorers can travel down a floral ‘river’ Nile to see Tutankhamun, become an astronaut while floating around the Galaxy Gardens or even escape to the seaside down a helter-skelter to meet donkeys Coco and Neddy.

Walk your kids through history from the dinosaurs to the 1970s and everything in between. The Winsford Education Partnership School Gardens in the Grow Zone are small gardens created by both high school and primary school children from around the North West. The high school gardens have a science theme and the primary gardens have a history theme – look out for the Great Fire of London alight with marigolds and dahlias.

Wannabe witches and wizards can get their hands dirty in the ‘Magic of Growing’ potting shed where they can learn how to ‘pot on’. Then head to the vintage helter-skelter where you’ll find the North West Schools Growing Competition ‘Summer Seaside’. New to the show this year is a special ‘follow the trail’ sheet that can be picked up at the RHS Stand or any RHS information points. Kids can follow the trail around the showground and find clues to solve the quiz. Once completed they can hand the sheet in to the RHS Stand to collect a prize.
