Sculpture in Context at the National Botanic Gardens showcases the work of Irish and International artists in one of the most prestigious outdoor sculpture exhibitions in Ireland. The gardens are not only a botanical paradise, but a quiet oasis just 3.5km from the centre of a modern European City. The 50 acre site gives visitors an opportunity to ramble, explore, and find sculptures throughout the gardens.

Over 120 sculptures are displayed in the gardens, ponds, Great Palm House, and Curvilinear Range of glasshouses, while the smaller pieces are exhibited in the gallery above the visitor’s centre.
