This one-day conference will focus on the importance of natural play areas in public space provision.
In the current economic environment, play services are highly vulnerable to cuts. It is therefore more critical than ever that play provision in parks and green spaces is protected and developed.
In response, The Nature of Play will explore:
- What funding opportunities are still available to parks and play professionals?
- How can outdoor play enhance children’s opportunities to learn?
- How can we create and manage play areas that are high quality, accessible, safe and sustainable?
- What are the most successful methods to engage children and communities in natural play?
Organised in partnership with Play England and IPGS, The Nature of Play will feature a packed programme of presentations and workshops, and will provide delegates with a range of practical guidance and advice that can be applied in their own parks and green spaces.
The conference will close with a drinks reception, providing the opportunity to celebrate the key achievements of the Playbuilder/Pathfinder programme, and to network and share ideas with fellow delegates.
