This garden originates from Yangzhou City in China, and contains traditional elements from the region. The Yangzhou garden is named “Yi Garden”, which literally means “The Garden of Friendship”.
It is hoped this garden could be a bridge of friendship connecting China and Ireland. The Yi Garden applies the theory of traditional Chinese painting to its design. Yangzhou gardens are most famous for their oddly layered rockeries.
