At the end of April we held a great workshop in Clooney Community Centre where we sowed pots of Giant Sunflowers, aswell as the kids getting some I planted a few pots up myself too…and planted these at Maybrook Adult Training Centre…and they came out wonderfully.
Now we won’t break any record with them, but they are in the 10′ region so the guys are delighted with them!!

Gareth lectures in Horticulture in the North West Regional College and offers school horticulture programs through the Western Education + Library Board. Gareth is passionate about changing land-use to a more positive use, urban food production and showcasing the flora of county Derry through the City of Horti-Culture programme of events.
