Professor Burke has served on boards and advisory committees relating to agriculture, biotechnology and bioenergy both national and internationally. His major research interests include cereal agronomy, bioenergy, climate change impacts on crop production, plant response to environmental stress as well as the development of new biotechnological approaches for plant improvement.
