Interflora is once again taking its floristry expertise to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and this year is hoping to wow the crowds with its striking design exhibit, ‘The Message’.
‘The Message’ has been conceived and created by multi award-winning Interflora florists David Ragg and David Denyer. David and David have both been in the floristry business for more than 20 years and now work together from their Bournemouth shop, Lansdowne Florist. For the past two they have collaborated with each other for Interflora’s award-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show design exhibits.
David Denyer (pictured left) is one of Interflora’s most experienced florists and has previously held the titles of Interflora Florist of the Year and Interflora World Champion. Most recently David won Gold for Interflora at the 2011 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with his stunning design exhibit ‘A Sense of Perspective’. David has also won many awards in his own right including 6 Gold Medals and 4 Best in Show titles at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
David Ragg (pictured right) is also a seasoned competitor in the world of floristry, having won 4 RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medals and the prestigious Interflora Florist of the Year competition in 2000. With three generations of florists before him, David has certainly followed in his family’s footsteps and has built a strong reputation for creativity and success within the industry. In 2010 David took Interflora back to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show after a long absence from the show and managed to scoop a Gold medal with his innovative design ‘Progression’.
David’s enviable career has seen him become a published author and he now travels the world demonstrating and teaching his amazing floristry skills to others.
With such credentials behind them, we are excited to have both David Denyer and David Ragg working on our design exhibit for this years’ RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Their awe-inspiring design, ‘The Message’ will feature bold colours and striking shapes, and an abundance of fresh flowers.
Following the show, David and David will also be hosting classes at the Interflora Flower School where enthusiasts can learn new skills and have a go at creating their own amazing arrangements.
