Our Courgettes Plants from BBC Radio Foyle – Gareth Austin

Here’s some 2 week old Courgette All Green Bush coming into life in the Polytunnel of Ionad Niamh Padraig in Gweedore. These seeds were dusted with Mycorrhizal Fungii then sown in some Multi Purpose Compost, with some Vermiculite incorporated.

A few of these were re-homed in the Mark Patterson Show garden area at BBC Radio Foyle, you can listen back to Fridays show here, between 2.45-3 we’re on chatting Courgettes..

Gareth Austin is a Community focused Horticulturist based in Derry-Londonderry and voice of Gardening on the Mark Patterson Show on BBC Radio Foyle. Gareth specialises in Community horticulture, offering a wide range of events, programmes and acitivity on engaging people in the exciting world of Horticulture. Gareth lectures in Horticulture in the North West Regional College and offers school horticulture programs through the Western Education + Library Board.
