Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Michelle O’Neill has expressed sadness at the sudden death of Fine Gael Minister of State Shane McEntee. Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, with responsibility for Food, Food Safety and Horticulture, Mr McEntee was 56 and married with three children. A farmer, he lived at Castletown near Navan in Co Meath.
In a statement, Minister O’Neill said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Shane’s family and friends at this sad time. In recent months I had been working very closely with Shane on various industry matters. He will be very sadly missed.”
