Interflora has been awarded a Silver-Gilt Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for its breath-taking floral design exhibit ‘The Message’.
This is the third consecutive year that Interflora has been recognised at the prestigious flower show and is testament to the exceptional skill and creativity of the expert florists involved.
Designed and created by Interflora florists David Denyer and David Ragg, ‘The Message’ is striking in shape and design. With clean lines and a contemporary feel, the exhibit takes influences from modern day architecture, most notably the Shard building in London. It features tall shards of colour that reach up to five metres in height combined with intricate floral detail to create dramatic visual impact. As in previous years, the design uses ordinary flowers in an extraordinary way.
Positioned in the middle of the award-winning exhibit is an elegant silver birch tree, decorated with a selection of heartfelt, personal messages that were submitted by the general public through ‘The Message’ app that Interflora launched in the run up to the show.
Reacting to the win, Bournemouth based David Denyer said:
“We’re really proud to win this award for Interflora. It’s taken a year of hard work and now for the third year running we have received recognition from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.”
Daivd Ragg added:
“We’re very happy to have been awarded this medal and it will be interesting to see where we can go from here. Overall, winning a Silver-Gilt at this prestigious competition is an excellent outcome.”
The success of ‘The Message’ demonstrates the capabilities of all Interflora’s 1,800 florists across the UK to create the most inspiring designs, no matter what the occasion.
