Laurance Nesbitt + Peter O’Toole
Wednesday May 28th at 6.30pm
Goethe Institut, 37 Merrion Square East, Dublin 2 (TBC)

Laurance Nesbitt, Nesbitt Associates, will give a presentation on Retrofitting Green Roofs :

‘What impact could Intensive or Extensive green roofs play in mitigating pluvial flooding to Dublin’s Docklands?’ To date, there has been no study undertaken of the number or location of existing flat roofs in Dublin City. Nor has any study been carried out to assess the potential for rainwater attenuation and delay of storm water run-off during a flash flood. The study looked at Dublin Docklands which has a high density of commercial and residential flat roofs and a history of pluvial flooding.

Peter O’Toole, O’Brien Landscape, will speak about planting and installation of Green Roofs, looking at case studies in Dublin and nationwide.

The lecture is free and all are welcome. Please RSVP to ili@irishlandscapeinstitute.com to reserve your place.
