It can be difficult to know what to bring to a friend or loved one who is feeling a little under the weather. We may be unsure what their tastes or likes are. I find you cannot go wrong sending flowers as you do not have to worry about how they have their house decorated. Whether they will match, or suit, or not. Yes it is nice if you know the person well enough to match the flowers to a particular room but if you don’t it will not make the gift any less meaningful. I have a few pretty gift ideas that will cheer up the unhappiest unwell friend.
- Fruit and flower basket: a clever combination of both fruit and flowers, which they can both eat(fruit) and enjoy(flowers). There are plenty of edible flowers also but that is another article..
- Glass Vase of Flowers: This is a lovely idea for someone you know may not have a vase to put flowers in. For example a friend in hospital. They will get to enjoy the flowers and will have a pretty vase which can be refilled later.
- Hand tied Bouquet: A popular choice for a lot of our customers as you get your full flower value as you are not paying for a vase or basket. They are also presented in water which means you do not have to worry about them drying out before you have time to deliver them.
- Basket of flowers or Plants: This always makes a pretty gift. It can be made quite low so that if it is placed in the centre of a table it will not obstruct your conversation. It is very flexible in that it can be placed almost anywhere in their house. The basket itself can also be replanted again with your favorite plants.
- Balloon Bouquet: If your loved one is very ill and may not be able to handle strong smelling flowers a balloon bouquet can be a pretty alternative. They can also be added to any of your flower favorite ideas above.
Make your flowers stand out by adding personal touches.A cleverly placed butterfly, necklace or bracelet can add a smile and make your flowers the one to remember.
