All roses are edible…some tastier than others but all rose flowers are edible. Indeed award winning chefs such as Darren Iddon and Ian Orr regularly make things with them – like wild rose panna cotta .
Here in Oakfield Park in Raphoe, County Donegal whilst admiring the perfume from this Rosa ragosa the guys enjoyed a wee graze at some of the older flowers…
its a win win for these roses, gorgeous scent, disease free, easy to grow, great for bugs and edible….lets plant more!! Check out the Donegal Garden Trail for more great gardens to explore.
