EZ Seed Dog Spot is a unique mix of Scotts premium grass seed, a salt-neutralizing ingredient, and a revolutionary growing material made from super-absorbent coir, that can soak up to eight times its weight in water and hold moisture fifty percent longer than native soil to help the seed germinate. EZ Seed changes color from dark to light brown when the grass seedlings need moisture, indicating when to water.
According to Eric Nelson, Ph.D. in research and development at Scotts, “While grass is extremely tough and resilient, it takes a beating from a variety of causes: dog urine spots, high traffic and digging damage. EZ Seed Dog Spot is a kid- and pet-friendly product made from renewable resources and is 99.9 percent biodegradable. It contains a special salt neutralizer which minimizes the effects of dog urine. A two-pound jug repairs over 100 dog spots about six inches in diameter.”
Scotts Turf Builder EZ Seed Dog Spot is available at retailers nationwide. EZ Seed Dog Spot is currently available in two mixes: Sun and Shade, and Tall Fescue to meet regional needs throughout the country.
