Summer Solstice 21st June 2014

Cavan Burren Park will host a Summer Solstice Festival on Saturday 21st June for locals and visitors alike to experience this amazing prehistoric landscape on the longest day of the year.
Events will run throughout the day from 1pm – 6pm.
What’s happening?
- A procession of bronze-age instruments and dancers
- Dance performances by the Shawbrook Dancers
- Cavan Big Band
- Cavan County Choir
- Traditional music by Martin Donohoe and friends
- Poetry readings by Heather Brett
- Guided tours of the visitor centre and five walking trails
- Children’s activities – face-painting, balloons etc
Refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.
