Christmas is such an exciting time of the year and I don’t mean just for the kids. I can’t help getting caught up in the Christmas festivities. Once the decorations are down, from my well packed attic the fun begins.
Making my house in Stamullen look as Christmassy as possible and being able to send Christmas cheer to family and friends is what its all about. Everyone likes to know someone is thinking of them over Christmas. Here are a few popular Christmas gift ideas to get us in the festive mood.
Christmas Handtied Bouquet: Always a popular choice and also great for a last minute buy. Your local florist in Balbriggan, ie; Flowers Now, will always have plenty of these on standby. Christmas additions like glittery baubles, silver/gold stars, glittery flowers give this favourite its Christmas sparkle. They are great as they are tied inside to keep their shape so just remove wrapping and its ready to place in the Christmas vase of your choice.
Single Plant Gift Wrapped: This is a great option if funds are limited which can very easily happen over Christmas. Christmas poinsettia is a great plant and comes in white, pink and red. If you want to spend a little extra why not go for a stunning Orchid or Anthurium plant.
X mas Tree: This version is one made from oasis and individual pieces of cut pine. Great if you know the person you are visiting doesn’t have a lot of room. They can be decorated with flowers or decorations and you can even add lights. Looks great on a hall table or by the fireplace.
Planted Basket/Bowl: This is a great gift if you are not able to visit close to Christmas and can be given in advance. Your loved one will also get to enjoy your plant selection well into the new year. Add acorns, baubles and pretty Christmas bows to create that Christmas look.
Artificial Candle Arrangement: The quality of artificial pine has really improved over the last few years so much so that unless you touch it, it is very hard to tell the difference. You may be having visitors right through the new year or do not like pine needles on your table. Whatever your preference this is a great option. Just replace the candle as needed and you have a table arrangement that will last you years to come.
Tall Amaryllis Arrangement: I personally love this tall amaryllis arrangement in a glass stemmed vase. A stunningly sophisticated table centerpiece. Smaller versions can be made for the smaller budget, but I think for that special Christmas party this is one arrangement that can’t be beaten.
Pretty Flower Box: Not all presents were meant to be opened. This Christmas box works well anywhere in the home. Can be decorated to suit and room and exudes Christmas cheer. Quite a little show stopper.
