Close to 60 designers/contractors attended the Bloom 2012 designers seminar. Great enthusiasm and interesting ideas pitched for Bloom 2012. Gary Graham or Bord Bia commented “While I have no illusions about the difficult job of work ahead on sponsorship we expect to be starting the process with a large pool of committed and talented designers and contractors which augurs well for the show”.
For those budding designers who want a TV profile and the fame and fortune that comes with it, then SuperGarden is currently recruiting for the upcoming series with the winner also earning the right to enter Bloom 2012 also.
The Show Garden application process from Bloom 2012 is NOW OPEN. Bloom 2012 will take place from 31st May – 4th June next year. The show was an unprecedented success in 2011 with 90,000 people attending, an increase of 50% on 2010. Visitor research indicated a very high satisfaction rating with 97% of respondents stating that they were satisfied with their visit and 86% saying they would return in 2012.
Bloom’s growing reputation, both national and international, helped to attract over 400 journalists, 53 of these from around the world. Media coverage continues to grow each year and according to post-event research some 1.9 million Irish adults are now aware of Bloom. Bloom’s Show Gardens are the main attraction for visitors and the media. Deadline is December 1st!
