Vote for the Plant of the Centenary

To celebrate the centenary of the Chelsea Flower Show the RHS convened a panel of horticultural experts to select the top ten plants launched at the Chelsea Flower Show since 1913. Their task was a hard one – to pick one just one plant from each decade of the past 100 years. After much debate, the panel selected 10 plants launched at Chelsea which have stood the test of time and continue to feature strongly in gardens today.

The panel consisted of Bob Sweet from the RHS Shows Department, Dr Brent Elliott of the RHS Lindley Library, Colin Crosbie, Curator at RHS Wisley and well-known writers and broadcasters: Peter Seabrook, Roy Lancaster, Rachel de Thame and Carol Klein.

Now that they have made their selections, it’s over to you. We are inviting the public to vote for the plant that they think should be crowned plant of the year. Voting closes at noon on Friday 24 May 24.The winning plant will be announced on the final day of the show.
