Minister Deenihan Visits Set of ‘Lobster’ on Final Day of Filming in Kerry
Mr Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, recently visited the set of The Lobster on the Coillte estate in Dromore Woods, County Kerry. Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell play the lead roles in the first English language film by Oscar-nominated Greek Director Yorgos Lanthimos which is backed by the Irish Film Board.

Super Garden Returns to RTE 1
Season 6 of Super Garden has returned to RTE 1 and airs at 8.30pm every Thursday. The series follows five aspiring garden designers as they each makeover a garden and compete in a bid to showcase their work at Bloom. Each episode follows the efforts of one of the designers as they transform an average domestic plot into a potential Bloom show garden while being true to the garden owners' briefs and adhering to a strict budget.

The National Biodiversity Data Centre is delighted to announce the four sites that will be competing in this year's Ireland's BioBlitz which will take place on 23 & 24 May. The sites are all extremely interesting heritage sites that provide a variety of habitats and interesting biodiversity. This should make for very competitive recording this year.

Basic Level Course in Wood Carving With A Botanical Theme
Returning to live in Ireland after a thirty year career as an artist working in USA and Scotland, Adrienne Diamond (McStay) will lead a two day practical, beginners, wood carving course. Adrienne's artistic interest has been 'light and movement' and throughout her career she has created both public and private artworks along this theme using the materials glass, metal and wood.
