Bloom in Numbers - Over 106,000 Attend Bloom 2014
Bord Bia welcomed over 106,000 visitors to its Bloom festival in the Phoenix Park, Dublin over the June bank holiday weekend. Artisans, exhibitors and garden designers alike have enjoyed a very busy few days with many reporting buoyant sales onsite including Donal Skehan's Skoff pies, CAIS farmhouse cheese and Caulfield Country Boards who were all sold out before lunchtime yesterday. Last year, a Behaviours and Attitudes study valued the onsite sales at €5.5 million.

The Plant Village at Bloom 2014 is a new addition to the festival which works to highlight and promote the world class plant production Ireland has to offer. Set among the popular retail stands at Bloom, the village allows a space for the five participating exhibitors to inspire visitors to use plants to their full advantage.

An Amazing Crowd Appreciating the Prehen Bluebells - Gareth Austin
Packed....only word for it...the Prehen Ancient woodland in Prehen was packed for our annual bluebell walk. Folks came out from near and far to appreciate amazing displays of bluebells in Prehen ancient woodland...so many infact that we stopped counting after 70...

Bloom Show Garden - Planting Theme and Concepts
Bloom 2014 boasts 30 incredible show gardens which have been designed and constructed by some of the top Landscape Architects and Garden Designers Ireland boasts. Showcasing the high horticultural standards and practices Ireland has to offer, the show gardens provide visitors with inspiration and ideas that they can bring back to their own garden regardless of the size of garden or budget they are working with.

Bloom Bites
The Bord Bia Food Village hosts an exciting menu of Artisan Street Food for visitors to tickle their taste buds. Perfect at any time of the day, the delights include roast suckling pork from Adare Farm, marinated Hereford beef on ciabatta with carmelised onions, leaves and dressing from Country Choice on Tour and pork terrine, black pudding rolls, and slow cooked pork ribs from 'Three Men in a Trailer'.

The Weekend Style Stage at Bloom will feature three fashion show features daily for the five days of the show.Hosted by style guru Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor of the Irish Independent, the Style Stage will feature top models from 1st Option model agency and special guests including contributors from Weekend magazine styled for a 'catwalk' appearance at Bloom.

Bloom Floral Marquee
The Floral Marquee is one of the first stops for many visitors when they arrive at Bloom. With over 30 different nurseries under one roof it is a key highlight for plant lovers and garden enthusiasts when they visit. Past visitors to Bloom will notice many key features have returned again this year such as the fuchsia wall just inside the main door and the primula pyramid, created by Peninsula Primulas, in the centre of the room.
